O+Z Grows its Team, Bringing the Firm to 21 Attorneys Focused on Content and Brand Protection
Washington, D.C. (October 26, 2023) — Oppenheim + Zebrak is proud to introduce five attorneys who joined us this year. These 2023 additions bring O+Z to 21 attorneys.
Please join us in welcoming Audrey, Lauren, Timothy, Meredith, and Jenny—the five new attorneys—who are already delivering important contributions to our firm’s longstanding promise to provide clients with compelling advocacy, strategic counseling, and decisive action in complex legal matters affecting content and brands.

Audrey Adu-Appiah
Prior to O+Z, Audrey clerked for Judge Cornelia T.L. Pillard of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and for Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Audrey also gained experience as a patent litigation associate at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C., and as a litigation associate at Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu, P.C. in New York. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she served as Notes Editor of the Harvard Law Review and worked as a student attorney for the Recording Artists Project and the Cyberlaw Clinic at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society. Prior to law school, Audrey earned her B.A. with Highest Distinction in English and Political Science from Duke University. Audrey works out of our Washington, D.C. office.

Lauren Bergelson
Before joining O+Z, Lauren worked as an associate at Ropes & Gray LLP in New York. During her time at Ropes, Lauren represented clients in commercial litigation and government enforcement matters and maintained an active pro bono practice. Lauren earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and served as the Executive Submissions Editor for the Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts. Lauren also interned at the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus. Prior to law school, Lauren earned her B.A. from Cornell University, where she double majored in English and History and graduated magna cum laude. She works out of our New York office.

Timothy Chung
Prior to O+Z, Timothy worked as an associate at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP in New York, where his practice focused on antitrust and complex commercial litigation matters. Timothy earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and received the Carroll G. Harper prize for academic achievement in intellectual property. While at Columbia, Timothy also served as the Executive Submissions Editor for the Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts. Timothy earned his B.A. in Latin and Creative Writing from Oberlin College, graduating with High Honors. Timothy works out of our New York office.

Meredith Stewart
Before joining O+Z, Meredith worked as a senior associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP in Washington, D.C., where she represented a range of clients in complex commercial litigation and intellectual property matters. Meredith earned her J.D. from the New York University School of Law, where she was named a Pomeroy Scholar and Florence Allen Scholar and served as a Notes Editor on Law Review. Meredith graduated magna cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Before law school, Meredith earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia in English and African-American and African studies, graduating with Distinction. Meredith works out of our Washington, D.C. office.
In addition to these new associates, O+Z clients will also benefit from new partner Jennifer Pariser’s years of experience in the music and movie industries.

Jenny Pariser
Jenny has spent more than 20 years working on copyright litigation and policy development while at the Motion Picture Association, the Recording Industry Association of America, and Sony Music. Before that, she spent a decade litigating intellectual property cases and other commercial disputes at Debevoise & Plimpton and Patterson, Belknap. Jenny works out of our New York office.
