The award is part of Managing IP’s Americas Awards. The Firm of the Year award is presented to firms “that performed exceptionally well in a particular practice area, or IP as a whole, in a given jurisdiction.”

- Gastineau v. ESPN, et al: O+Z secured the dismissal of a high-profile case brought by former NFL player Mark Gastineau against the NFL and ESPN, alleging trademark infringement, right of publicity, and contract claims concerning his depiction in a documentary film, 30 for 30, The New York Sack Exchange.
- O+Z is representing a dozen news and magazine publishers, including Condé Nast, Forbes Media, Newsday, Politico and others, in a copyright and trademark infringement action against Cohere, an artificial intelligence company, for its unauthorized use and copying of the publishers’ articles and brands.
- O+Z successfully resolved its case on behalf of a group of iconic record labels against the Internet Archive’s massive, unauthorized digital record store of recordings with classics from some of the most popular musical artists of the 20th Century (Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and many others).
