Katheryn Jarvis Enters
Senior Counsel
Katheryn Jarvis Enters is a Senior Counsel at Oppenheim + Zebrak, LLP, where her practice focuses on copyright and trademark litigation, content protection and online piracy. With over 20 years of experience in a broad range of litigation and legal services, Katheryn has extensively represented clients’ interests before courts and agencies as well as provided practical, strategic in-house legal guidance and solutions to global businesses.
In addition to copyright and intellectual property litigation, Katheryn has represented clients in a broad range of matters in federal and state courts. Katheryn’s litigation experience also includes trademark, contract, patent, real estate, tort and environmental issues, among others. Katheryn has represented clients in regulatory matters and policymaking efforts as well as extensive negotiation work on behalf of clients at contaminated sites globally. Katheryn brings in-house experience to the O+Z team, contributing strategically sound and innovative legal advice as well as practical technical understanding to complex and often politically charged legal issues and decision-making. Her transactional experience includes risk evaluation and mitigation, global environmental health and safety compliance, product sustainability, contaminated site remediation, due diligence and integration plans for divestitures and acquisitions, and corporate securities filings.
Katheryn has extensive experience counseling clients on electronic discovery issues, including developing document retention policies and managing all aspects of preservation, collection, processing, review and production of electronic documents in complex commercial litigation. She has led large teams in multi-year projects that include mass toxic tort litigation as well as intellectual property matters.
Prior to joining Oppenheim + Zebrak, Katheryn was Associate General Counsel at Celanese Corporation, serving as global environmental health and safety counsel. Prior to that, Katheryn was Special Counsel at Holme Roberts & Owen (now Bryan Cave) where her practice focused on complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts, and enforcement matters before regulatory bodies. There, she represented numerous Fortune 500 companies in bet-the-company litigation in myriad industries and in courts throughout the country.
Katheryn is a member of the Colorado, Washington, and Patent Bars. She earned her B.S.E. in Nuclear Engineering from Arizona State University. Katheryn earned her J.D., cum laude, from Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law and served as Articles Editor for the law review.
