Danae Tinelli

Danae Tinelli is an associate at Oppenheim + Zebrak, LLP, focusing on copyright and other intellectual property and litigation matters.

Before joining O+Z, Danae was an attorney at Venable LLP in Washington, D.C. where she represented clients in a range of IP matters, with a focus on copyright enforcement actions, licensing, fair use, litigation, counselling, and clearance work.

Danae earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law where she was a junior blogger and publication assistant of the American University Intellectual Property Brief. By law school’s end, she had completed legal internships with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA), and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where she honed in on her passion for copyright law. She earned a B.A. in business administration from the Honors College at Florida International University.

Danae is a member of the District of Columbia and New York bars, and she additionally is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
